Educational Philosophy

"The Most Understandable Lessons Anywhere!"

Our motto at Terawaki Juku—"The Most Understandable Lessons Anywhere!"—is not merely a slogan. It is an educational philosophy we practice in every lesson and in every interaction with our students.

When children experience the joy of understanding, they develop the motivation to learn. Our mission is to bring that "aha moment" to as many students as possible.

"The Most Understandable Lessons Anywhere!" — A Small-Class Cram School

A compact classroom environment with 4–5 desks where instruction reaches every student

At large cram schools, individual attention inevitably suffers due to class size. Terawaki Juku is committed to small-class instruction, allowing us to understand each student's comprehension level, learning pace, and strengths and weaknesses before tailoring our approach.

When a student struggles with a problem or hits a knowledge gap, we notice immediately and address it on the spot. This is the power of small-class instruction.

We progress through lessons while confirming each student's understanding
We carefully support students' weak areas
We create an atmosphere where questions are welcome
We detect and respond to changes in students' progress quickly

Terawaki Juku's Three Pillars

Teaching Until Mastery

We never leave a student confused. We explain using different approaches as many times as needed.

Meeting Each Student Where They Are

Every student has unique abilities, goals, and schedules. We tailor our pace and method to each individual.

Learning as Joy

We believe studying should feel rewarding, not painful. We design lessons to help students enjoy learning.
